Hi!

I'm Cat Tang. I'm a freshman studying Cognitive Science at the University of Southern California. I like to write about interpersonal relationships and concepts that shape how we interact the world.

​

I picked "cinnamon letters" as the title because that's representative of what I want this to be.

 

Letters, in our age (2020...yikes) are a bit outdated. But the medium is part of the message. I admire the rambling flow, the idea that maybe our thoughts are worth a page. Maybe multiple pages. Maybe we're not saying anything at all, and that's okay. For every letter that changed the course of history, there are thousands that were just people writing to their loved ones, saying they love them without saying much at all.

And cinnamon? Because I like cinnamon. And because (back in the day, which I was not a part of) we could send things with our letters. A dried flower, a bag of tea. A sprinkle of cinnamon.
